Good things, to every shore.
Long ago, merchant ships carried the best things one land could make to the shores of another. Elvoriva is that old idea, made for today: carefully chosen products, delivered to homes across Europe.
What our name means
El — the divine: an ancient word for God, and an echo of the elves, the bringers of light in Northern legends.
Or — light and gold: light in Hebrew, gold in French, from the Latin aurum.
Riva — the shore: Italian for shore, from the Latin ripa, the harbour where merchant ships arrived with their goods.
El · Or · Riva — divine light and gold, arriving at every shore.
Where we began
We started in Latvia, on the Baltic shore, with a few small things that make a long, dark winter easier: grips for icy pavements, reflective coats for evening dog walks, and cosy things for the nights in. Our old traditions are full of luck-bringers for travellers and traders, like Laima, the Latvian goddess of fortune, and Hermes, the patron of journeys and trade. We carry that spirit with every parcel we send.
